Heritage Craft meets Art

In tandem with my work in historic building conservation and period property decoration through MBP Decoration, I explore the boundary between traditional preservation methods and fine art under the name Art with Lime.

My creative practice encompasses two distinct branches. In my relief work, I focus on pargetting—an endangered traditional craft using lime, sand, and fibres to create sculptural bas-relief panels, often combined with kintsugi (highlighting repair with gold). Alongside these lime panels, I also produce detailed fine ink stippling drawings.

Preserving Local Heritage

My recent series directly translates my hands-on conservation work on the Grade I-listed Crystal Palace Dinosaurs and Italian Terraces, celebrating the traditional craftsmanship required to preserve historic architectural elements for future generations.

Having trained at West Dean College and worked alongside heritage bodies such as Historic England, SPAB, and the Friends of Crystal Palace Dinosaurs, I bring authentic historic materials and conservation techniques into every artwork I create.

Current Exhibitions & Commissions

My series based on our conservation work in Crystal Palace Park has been featured at The Paxton Centre, South East London for the whole of August 2026. I welcome inquiries regarding gallery exhibitions, custom pargetting or illustration commissions, and private artwork sales.
